Things weren’t going well for the University of Louisville women’s basketball game, as the expressions of coaches Samantha Williams, Jeff Walz and Stephanie Norman indicate, watching Rutgers reel off 15 points in a row to take a 17-9 lead. The Lady Cards would claw their way back into the game, however, eventually defeating Rutgers 66-57 in overtime.

Shoni Schimmel would take scoring honors with 21 points, Monique Reid would contribute 18, and Antonita Slaughter and Bria Smith 10 apiece in a typical UofL-Rutgers melee. The Lady Cards outscored Rutgers 15-4 during the overtime.
