Nursing a bad cold, University of Louisville football coach Steve Kragthorpe held a news conference Friday afternoon, again reaffirming his commitment to the university. He spent several minutes discussing the parity in college football and the injuries and youth on the team. Among the more significant items was the recruiting of Louisville athletes, indicating that he was going to change his approach. Currrently, only one coach recruits all Louisville schools. He said he is considering assigning each of his assistant coaches four or five local schools each to concentrate on in addition to their regional recruiting assignments.

Click on the menu, then the “On Demand” menu and select the Kragthorpe press conference. First, you have to watch the crew set up the sound equipment and wait for the coach. You can drag the time bar in the center of the screen to get past the pre-press conference malaise.
