Stewart Ijames returns to the University of Louisville baseball team after an injury sidelined him last season. Two seasons ago, he batted .351 with 11 doubles, two triples, eight homers and 39 RBIs. He also slugged .583 and had a .401 on-base percentage. U of L opens the baseball season at home against Bowling Green this Friday. By the way, Ijames is pronounced “I’m’s.”[/stextbox]

  1. Is that a Dutch name? I know “ij” is pronounced like a long “I” in Dutch… as in Kim Clijsters (or Thijs Van Leer of Focus, for you prog-rock fans).
