Who’s next?

The bad news is that Gorgui Dieng will not be on the airplane for the trip to UConn on Saturday. The good news is that he is expected to sit out only two games after that scary fall, landing on the back of his head during the West Virginia game.

Dieng may be out for a couple of games, but this will not deter him. He said before the season that he expects things to be difficult and nothing worthwhile comes easily. “Easy not good,” he said, as only he could have said it.

The more the injuries mount, the more Rick Pitino expects from the remaining players on the University of Louisville basketball team. And unless they are super humans, some of the players out there are far from being fully recovered.

Hold your breath. Injuries must be contagious.

  1. Should the team consult an astrologer and see what the stars hold for injuries in the near future? Might not be a bad idea.

    1. Not a bad idea, Lori, but until they find the right one, trainer Fred Hina will keep them patched up and playing if possible. Not quite as bad as Jeff Walz’ situation last season but getting close.
