Funkhouser on mound for Louisville in NCAA opener

Funkhouse Kyle Funkhouser, a  6-foot-2, 218-pound sophomore righthander, is on the mound as the University of Louisville baseball team pursues a third trip to the College World Series in seven years. Funkhouser set a single season school record for wins going 12-2 with a 1.74 ERA and 100 strikeouts in 99.1 innings and 15 starts. He was even more dominant in eight league starts, going 7-1 with a 0.99 ERA.
