Gary Friedman, a senior associate athletic director at U of L, is a candidate for the A.D. job at Illinois State University, according to WJBC.com. He is one of three finalists for the post. Friedman is said to have been instrumental in helping to raise $41 million in athletic giving during the expansion of Papa John’s and the construction of the KFC Yum! Center.

He’s a good guy and has done well here but I am still burning over the 52% increase in my “donation” for nowhere as good seats.
