Charlie Strong never quits angling for recruits, and he goes for big ones.
His latest catch is De’Antre Rhodes, a four-star defensive tackle. He has signed a letter of intent with the University of Louisville and will be eligible to play during the 2010 football season.
The 6-foot-3, 285-pound native of Richmond, Va., visited the Louisville football facilities earlier this week and attended the U of L-Notre Dame basketball game. He made his commitment Friday morning.
A one-time Virginia Tech commitment, he was rated the No.11 high school recruit in the country in his class, and was third-ranked among defensive defensive tackle in the country.
The word is the Louisville football coach still has another spot to fill. Stay tuned.

This is great catch, in fact, this could be called “manna from heaven” for Coach Strong and his Fighting Louisville Cardinals!.
I can’t believe the recruits Coach Strong has been able to get in such a short period of time..can’t wait to see how he fills that last spot. Man, oh man – can’t wait for football season to start – Go CARDS!!
Strong had been a highly respected assistant coach for Florida and it’s no surprise that he’s gathering a select group of football players for the Cards.
Hopefully, they’ll live up to the lofty Scout and Rivals ratings. Spring practice ought to be a great time…for players and fans alike.
De’Antre Rhodes is a big time score and will be a major addition to the Cards defensive front four…one of those guys where a redshirt season isn’t necessary.
Be Strong, Louisville strong…
I want to know if we can get Texas A&M on the schedule before they fire what’s his name.
