Still another way to connect with University of Louisville athletics.

The Flying Cardinal, a new Youtube series, has been launched by Nick Stover, who was recently named Director of Social Media by Tom Jurich.

The inaugural show features yours truly of UofLCardGame.com (yes, the observer), Howie Lindsey of Cardinal Sports, and a UofL student who goes by the name of Elle Raiser on Facebook and Twitter:

  1. Good to see the new social media guy reaching out to the blogs.

Great job on the interview and I have always remebered that you say “Football is king.”

Still a basketball state though. Maybe CCS can bring home a national championship someday and change that perception eventually.

  2. Congrats, indeed! Well-deserved recognition of a quality, worthwhile product you’ve been publishing, Charlie. I agree with your comment on the importance of this year’s football improvement. It’s our chance to raise our game, and CS is the guy who can get it done.
Had to laugh at you saying that early on, people thought you were crazy… Am biting my tongue…
    Anyway–good job!

  3. very cool charlie! you had quite a crew for that new show. i knew nick stover back when he was still teaching sports administration at UofL and managing louisville’s indoor soccer team “the lighning” at mockingbird valley… heck, we’ve partied on 4th street together! he’s a very sharp and motivated guy, good pick by jurich (even though he lacks some quality experience and polish). elle raisor is exactly who he claims to be, a true fan of all student athletes at UofL, a permanent fixture at almost all sporting events. and i think we all know the howie’s caliber with his local sports coverage over the past few years. im hoping to see more of you in particular to be honest, but i like the idea and i’d say its off to a pretty good start
