Daqual Randall, a six-foot, 225-pound linebacker from Palmetto, Fla., became the 12th prospect in the class of 2012 to verbally commit to the University of Louisville football program Monday.

Randall had 86 unassisted tackles, four sacks and an interception last season. As a sophomore he had 122 tackles (83 unassisted) with nine tackles for losses and two sacks.

According to Jody Demling, Randall chose U of L over Rutgers, Purdue, Indiana and Middle Tennessee State. Georgia Tech was in the picture at one point.

That would be the 12th commitment if you’re counting. Charlie Strong makes them all count.
