It’s bad enough having to play the 2011 NCAA Women’s Basketball Champions on their court for your second game of the year.
To do it without three of your best players makes it even rougher.
Shoni Schimmel, Monique Reid and Tia Gibbs will not participate in the 4 p.m. tip-off against the Aggies on ESPN-U. Reid is suffering foot and back injuries and Gibbs is out with a shoulder injury. Schimmel is serving the second of her two game NCAA suspension for playing in an unsanctioned 3-on-3 tournament.
The good news is that Cierra Warren will in there, fresh from a 16 second half point performance against Missouri State Sunday, as will freshmen Sara Hammond, Bria Smith and Jude Schimmel.
Without graduated superstar Danielle Adams in the paint, the Aggies will be hard-pressed to contain Warren. Let’s hope she brings a few friends to the party.
