Louisville women’s basketball is averaging close to 10,500 fans per game this season for a reason. It’s good basketball getting better.

The freshman-laden Lady Cards have moved up in the Big East, currently tied for fourth place with Georgetown, Marquette and Rutgers with their 8-5 conference record. They are about to show whether they can reach the potential of a top five recruiting class.

Second-ranked DePaul arrives with an impressive 12-1 conference mark Wednesday for a 7 p.m. tip off at the Yum! Center. The Demons are led by 6-foot-2 Keisha Hampton, averaging 15.5 points per game, and four others averaging double figures.

Louisville is led by Monique Reid and Shoni Schimmel, averaging 15.9 and 15.1 points, respectively, making everybody else better. Fun watching them come together.

Wednesday, 7 p.m.
