Let the Christmas parties begin.

A season for giving, stuffing the stockings with Cards’ gear from Neutral Zone, J. D. Becker, wherever it turns up. Those 50% off discounts are especially nice.

The celebrations taking on a little more meaning this year, having been reminded a couple of times in recent weeks about why each Yuletide must be special, why it is so important to take the time to be in touch with friends and family.

The period wouldn’t be complete, of course, without a couple of University of Louisville basketball games against old rivals. Players recovering from injuries, rejoining the team, a continuous process of rejuvenation.

And, thanks to Charlie Strong, the return of bowl appearances for U of L football and a flurry of new commitments, the likes of which we have never experienced heretofore.

In Holiday seasons past, the mad rush to get the perfect gifts, the 24-hour-a-day Christmas music, the conflicting parties, the travel all seeming to take a toll at some point, leading one to look forward again to the standard routine, the everyday humdrum.

Not this year. Going to enjoy every minute.
