LoadingthebusCatcher Kyle Gibson and second baseman Nick Ratajzcyk are among the last players to board the team bus to the airport as the University of Louisville baseball team headed to Omaha and the College World Series Thursday afternoon. They would later board a private charter at Louisville International airport for the two-hour flight to Nebraska.

Ty-YoungThird baseman Ty Young takes a minute before boarding to sign an autograph for Mattie Rutledge. The team gathered outside the old football offices at the Fairgrounds for the short jaunt to the airport.

Joe-FilomenoJoe Filomeno, the fiery lefthanded reliever who instantly became a fan favorite after injuring his throwing arm in the Vanderbilt finale, gives the L sign before getting aboard. He says his forearm is on the mend, he feels fine, and he expects to pitch in Omaha.  That would be good.
