Not to worry, the Cardinal Bird is having a busy summer, becoming a frequent attendee at wedding celebrations. The latest event was the exchange of vows between Matt and Ellen Thomas on Saturday. It was the culmination of an eventful year for the couple who are die hard Cardinal fans. That’s Jane Englert, the bride’s grandmother, with them. Watch for him at a wedding near you.

It’s good to see the Cardinal Bird standing up – didn’t know he could. I usually see him laying on the floor doing nothing during the games. Hope the Cardinal Bird brings some more excitment in the next year – take a page out of St. Joseph’s mascot – the Hawk.
