Bears using Michael Bush sparingly

Michael Bush, former University of Louisville running back, made it into the end zone for the second time this season but his Chicago Bears were crushed 42-21 by the St. Louis Rams Sunday.

With starter Matt Forte at full strength, Bush has been used sparingly this season, having carried the ball only 42 times in 11 games for a net of 42 yards and two touchdowns. He also has caught three passes for 31 yards.

The Bears, currently 6-5, are currently tied for first place with the Detroit Lions in the North Division of the National Conference despite having lost five of the last eight games.

Their playoff hopes are still alive but the current trend has to end if the Bears are to have any shot at the playoffs and another Super Bowl appearance.

Giving Bush a little more playing time might help. Otherwise, don’t include the Bears in any of your Super Bowl bets.
