Thinking maybe about a trip to The Bahamas for the University of Louisville basketball team’s nine-day excursion in August? Lots of information out there, some of it confusing.

The team will be in The Bahamas from Aug. 10th through the 18th. That’s for certain but many of the details are still being worked out, according to Jordan Sucher, executive assistant to Coach Rick Pitino.

Some sources with ties to Creighton University have been reporting that the Bluejays will play U of L. But that’s not going to happen because NCAA rules apparently don’t allow it.

Sucher told us that U of L will play the Bohemian national team at least twice and will play two or three club teams. The rest of the games will be intrasquad scrimmages.

He also indicated that ticket packages will probably be offered to donors.

A check with Champion Sports Tours in Louisville indicated that no travel packages are yet available. “We’re still awaiting official word from the university,” said a representative.

  1. Get in line, Porkins. You know if the Observer gets a press pass, I will have to carry it for him, on my way to the beach, of course. Go Cards!

  2. Thanks for clearing some of this up. If you need a field reporter to cover it for you, look me up.
