Asia Durr’s three-point shot is about as smooth as they come, text book smooth. Give her a little daylight, just watch her shoot.

Durr would score three consecutive 3-pointers and 13 of her team’s points in the first three minutes of the second half. An 18-2 run providing the knockout punch for the University of Louisville women in an 83-58 win over Bowling Green.

For the game, she would make 13 of 18 field goal attempts, including eight 3-pointers and a couple of field goals. Durr would wind up with a career-best day of 34 points to lead all scorers — the most by a UofL player since Shoni Schimmel scored 38 at South Florida in January of 2013.

A crowd of 8,194 attended the game on the first day of the three-day Basketball Hall of Fame Challenge at the KFC Yum! Center.

“It’s amazing to watch just from last year and to see how she’s playing right now,” said Myisha Hines-Allen who contributed 13 points. “She’s grown so much with her confidence. I knew she was a great player already, but just to see this – actually playing with her on the court – is amazing.”

Durr would score her 34 points with only 23 minutes of playing time, leaving with less than five minutes left in the third quarter. Only a sophomore, she is averaging 24.5 points per game.
