So what’s going with the arena construction? Well, according to the Louisville Arena Authority, these milestones are on the agenda for April:

  • Concrete will be poured for the first section of the Main Concourse.
  • Concrete will be poured for the roof of the city garage.
  • Concrete will be poured for the first structural elements framing the lower seating bowl of the arena.
  • The first elevated level of the city garage will be completed.

Those who never thought they would see it happen are seeing it happen.

  1. Could have a lot to do with state politics, too. Much more than 10% to 20% are familiar with how difficult it was to get us to this point on the arena. You can say what you want about Ernie Fletcher as Governor but if he had not been there, this arena would still be just a pipe dream.

  2. Hell, there’s always 10-20% who bitch, complain, and say nothing will happen

    Thank God, majority still rules
