The University of Louisville has never said no to Charlie Strong so he’s getting some improvements to the football offices. Doubtful the university ever will.

Courier-Journal:

Authorized university athletics officials to begin fund-raising for a planned $7.5 million expansion of the Howard Schnellenberger Football Complex. Plans are preliminary and the project timetable uncertain but Ramsey said football Coach Charlie Strong has proposed an 18,000-square-foot addition to the complex adjacent to Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. The complex opened with the stadium in 1998.

The building contains training and weight rooms, lockers, coaches’ offices and the U of L football musuem. Ramsey said the expansion is expected to include space for additional training and weight room facilities, along with storage space. He said all the money will be raised privately.

Hopefully the improvements will include a new grand ground floor entrance. Walking up that long ramp to the coach’s office is not fun.

Anything else you need, coach?
