A Note From Angel’s Mom

This almost got lost in the shuffle, and we wouldn’t want that to happen,  ever,  a comment to Card Game from Angel McCoughtry’s mom:

We could not have been more happy that our daughter chose the University of Louisville to pursue her college career.  We were worried at first because she was so far from home but the University, the fans, the town have embraced our daughter and because of that she has been very successful at UofL. We her parents, Roi and Sharon McCoughtry, want to thank everyone for your support and show of love to her. Where did the four years go?

Go Cards!

Sharon: Angel has been quite a sensation and the Lady Cards are far from finished. It has really been fun watching her grow and contributing to the growth of women’s college basketball in Louisville. Thanks for sharing her with U of L fans.

Sharon, thank you for Angel. She is a class act and represents our university and our city with style. We appreciate her time here and know she will continue to fly high at the next level. Go CARDS!

Sharon and Roi: I just love Angel. She is one of the best players I have ever met. You and Roi are to be commended for the great job you did raising her. We will miss her so much, both on and off the court. God bless all of you!

    A mother’s work is difficult
    It’s 24 hours a day
We work long hours trying to
    Provide a better way

For the children that we love so dear
    Nothing is too difficult
Then, one day, you stop and gaze
    At your effort and result

Of our children, we take pride
We hope they turn out well
The highest tribute a Mom could have
Is for her kids to turn out like Angel
