Sophomore lefthander Dean Kiekhefer will be the man on the mound as the University of Louisville baseball team takes on Cal State Fullerton in Friday’s first game of the best two-out-of-three games in Super Regional at 10:30 p.m. on ESPN2.

Kiekhefer’s most recent outing was in Louisville’s 3-2 regional win against a good hitting Middle Tennessee State team. He struck out eight batters, allowed seven hits, two earned runs and zero walks. He has a 6-4 won-lost record

Another familiar lefthander, senior Justin Marks, 11-2, will start on Saturday at 5 p.m. on ESPN.

Cal State Fullerton, which has won the national championship 12 times, is making its seventh consecutive appearance in the Super Regionals. The Titans entered the tournament as the overall No. 2 seed following a 45-14 season.
