Some great moves to the basket. Not impressed with his willingness to move up and down the court or his rebounding efforts. Seemed to hang out around the 3-point line a lot, too. The latter characteristics reminded me a lot of another “Character” a few years ago when I saw him in a high school all-atar game at Freedom Hall.

Jim Calhoun? He’s been pretty good, but does not currently have the sizzle that Rick Pitino has going on now. Louisville is the best fit, and that’s what will appeal to Fab Melo. He will thrive at the ‘Ville, and will be among a host of future NBA stars playing for the Cards.

can put together a great package for this champ. Fab is great.
Pitino needs to work on a strategy to get his commitment on paper. Please! Please! Cards let’s seal the deal and make Fab a Cardinal Fave!

If he’s smart enough to go with a proven winner he certainly won’t be a Cardinal.

Someone like Jim Calhoun is the perfect fit for him. He needs national attention, something Louisville is hardly capable of giving him.

He’s better off looking elsewhere.

I agree that there is obvious bitterness and jealousy on the part of the first commenter. How ridiculous! Coach Pitino just put two lottery picks in the NBA draft, and more are on the way. I do want Fab Melo, and I think that he would be a perfect fit here. I hope that he is smart enough to go with a proven winner and become a Louisville Cardinal.

cardfan4life very fine synopsis of the difference in the programs. I do believe if Calimari doesn’t win it all this year and the one after he should be fired. That way when all the wins are annulled by the NCAA for cheating, the University of Lexington will only lose two seasonas worth of wins.

You must be kidding me, right? You can’t be serious? Looks like another UK fan found this site and wants to stir up some things. Your jealousy about Fab and UofL is obvious. Your team has Calipari, he doesn’t really evaluate talent, he offers all the top recruits scholarships and promises of money and lazy academic standards. UofL has been in on Fab for quite sometime, because our coaches evaluate talent, don’t cheat, and build actual relationships with these kids. sUcK can’t get every top player, but it won’t be a lack of trying right? I guess world wide wes doesn’t speak portuguese? LOL
