Screen Shot 2014-03-10 at 2.54.33 PMOn Monday, Smith was named first-team All-American today by The Sporting News, NBC Sports and The Bleacher Report, the first of many to come.

You can help added to Russ’s list by voting for him in this week’s Capital One Impact Player of the Week. He’s competing against T. J. Warren of North Carolina State, Michael Frazier of Florida, and Doug McDermott of Creighton.

Russ was nominated for his game against SMU when he scored 26 points, six rebounds and five assists.

  1. Russ Smith should be the Capital One Impact Player of the Week because he’s a role model, co-captain of his team, and an all round good and generous human being. He excels in a number of arenas as an individual and as a team player. Gentleman and ladies, you can’t go wrong picking this outstanding young man as the Player of the Week.
