Summer has arrived on Belknap Campus, bringing with it the annual pause in University of Louisville athletics, at least on the playing fields. Challenging times for the Observer who tries not to get engulfed in the recruiting wars.

A good time, however, to take a look around the campus at all the things that are happening at UofL.

The UofL website provides a virtual tour of the campus, including many of the new facilities that have been completed in recent years — from the Third Street entrance and academic buildings to the athletic facilities and the Health Sciences campus downtown.

Here’s the link for a virtual tourYou will be impressed.

  1. Charlie, I have been living in Florida now for several years. I play so much golf that I am actually getting really good. Yesterday I was invited to play golf at the University of Florida Golf Course in Gainesville. I cannot tell you how wonderful the people were there and how they really like the Cardinals. I used to have my two favorite teams. Of course, the CARDS were first and any team playing UK was my second. Now I have the CARDS first and the GATORS second. Third of course is anyone playing the cats. The Florida fans went out of their way to talk to me and welcome me to their clubhouse and course. I even promised to buy a Gator head cover and put it with all my CARDS’ head covers. GO CARDS, GO GATORS. DR. RON

  2. Thanks for including the virtual tour of the University of Louisville on your site. Some of those buildings I’ve never seen since other than the SAC building I’ve never been inside the campus since my last day of school some 40+ years ago that I can remember.

As I watched the video I could not help but tear up a bit when at 71 years old I think back on just how much the University of Louisville has meant to me in my life.

    1. Makes my day knowing one of the most loyal and generous UofL fans in the community is dropping by Card Game. I have always had great respect for your views, Ron, and hope you will share more of your wisdom here.
