That’s really good news for UofL baseball fans, who have tolerated radio static levels reminiscent of the Fifties for years. They will finally have a clear signal for games during the 2015 season which begins in mid-February.

ESPN680 announced Monday that UofL baseball will be a permanent tenant on The Ville, a new radio station to be formally launched Thursday morning at 93.9 on the FM frequency.

Drew Deener, the morning show host on ESPN 680, will move over to 93.9 and host the 7 a.m. show. John Ramsey will also move to The Ville, hosting the 3 p.m. show. Initially, the station will carry the same nationally syndicated shows featured on the ESPN station.

The Ville 93.9 succeeds WLCL, a Sellersburg, Ind., station which had a classic music hit format.
