Good news from Barcelona with Kyle Kuric’s father reporting on Facebook that his son is off the ventilator and is responding to communications, according to a post by Eric Crawford.

“Today we have seen further progress with Kyle,” Steve Kuric wrote. “The sedation has been discontinued and he is responding more to us. He is off the ventilator and breathing well on his own. He is still in the ICU and will remain there for a few more days. We know that he has has a way to go yet, but we are encouraged by the improvement.”

Over the weekend, teams in the Endesa League, a professional league in Spain, wore special warmup shirts in support of Kuric:
