Lindsey Duvall finds a new Kentucky home.

The amazing recruiting success of Jeff Walz continues during the summer of 2016, with the recent commitment of Lindsey Duvall to the University of Louisville women’s basketball team.

If the name Lindsey Duvall sounds familiar, it’s because she has been on and off UofL’s radar over the last two years. She popped back on again during the spring when she decommitted from the University of Kentucky.

The Wildcats apparently caught up in a toxic situation, with five players transferring and three assistant coaches leaving the program in recent months.

“That kind of made me unsure if that was still where I wanted to go,” Duvall told the Courier-Journal.  “I wanted to be close to home, and Louisville is obviously a really good program. I love their coaches, and I went and played pick-up with the girls and they were all awesome to be around.”

Duvall is a 5-foot-10 guard from Bullitt East High School, who led her team to a 21-6 record this past season, averaging 18.7 points and 8.1 rebounds per game.

She’s the second player from the 2017 recruiting class to commit to UofL, joining 6-foot-3 Loretta Kakala from Manteca, Calif.
