The least shall be first.

So much for Texas being deadset against TCU joining the Big 12 Conference. Seems to be the trend in conference expansion,  the parties doing exactly the opposite of the signals they’ve been sending.

TCU is in. Either Texas changed its mind, or it was outvoted on conference expansion/realignment.

The next big foregone conclusion was that Texas didn’t want to expand beyond 10 members.

  1. I hope you guys can either stabilize the BEast or somebody throws you guys a line (I’d still love to be conference mates with you guys again).
I’m really not that excited about being stuck with UT again, but unfortunately, this was probably our best option between MWC, BE, and BIGXII. Easier travel for fans, less travel for our teams.
I still don’t know that I believe that the BigXII is any more likely to survive long term than the Big East at this point.
