Compared to college football, basketball may be little more than a tiny blip on the sports scene, especially when it comes to conference expansion. But one could never convince Aaron Hanka of the University of Louisville pep band that the round ball sport is chopped liver.

  1. Depends on the lighting — up close they look red. Of course, when the School of Music was running the band program, the red on the uniforms looked red. Coincidence? Perhaps….

(Yes, I’m a band alum — does it show?)

  2. I still want to know why the red on their uniforms looks as orange as can be? We have a color blind pep band!

      1. I am a long way from color blind. If you looked at the band at Freedom Hall the unis had a very distinct orange tone. And that is the opinion of our entire row. Up close they may have looked different but from half way down the court they were closer to Texas than Louisville.
