Louisville’s Sugar Bowl win gets a postmark
Lots of commemoratives of the University of Louisville football team’s 33-23 win over Florida in the Sugar Bowl but few as tempting as the one being offered by the U. S. Postal Service.
The Louisville District is selling limited-edition matted art celebrating one of the biggest victories in UofL football history.
The 12 x 18-inch piece includes a January 2, 2013 New Orleans postmark, a vintage Cardinal stamp with the winning score and the Louisville First Cards Forever motto. A large color photo inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome captures a scene of the National Anthem before kickoff.
They’re available for $25 while they last. They can be obtained only at the Louisville Main Post Office, 1420 Gardiner Lane (Click on photo to enlarge).
Update: Commenter Larry says he was told they had already sold out of them by Wednesday afternoon, but order forms are available

Was in the area so I dropped by to pick one up and was told that they’re already sold out. They do have order forms on the counter so you can have one shipped to you.
Thanks for the update, Larry. Sorry they went so quickly.
These are really beautiful! Classy. Go Cards!
Aw, what a game that was! We didn’t cause the power to go out, but we blew the roof off the place!
And, now, a very nice plaque to commemorate our domination. Thanks USPS.
