Noon kickoffs are a bad idea, as we were reminded by Monday’s announcement that the University of Louisville vs. Temple football game on Oct. 5th is another one of those.

The only one to benefit from them are the TV networks because they guarantee a viewing audience. What other consumer-driven entity dares antagonize their customers? May take a while for them to pay for their arrogance but sooner or later, somehow, someway, they will come to regret it.

Four more unannounced times on UofL’s schedule — Central Florida, Friday, Oct. 18; at South Florida, Saturday, Oct. 26, ; Houston, Saturday, Nov. 16; and Memphis, Saturday, Nov. 23.

No one would be shocked if ESPN announced a noon start for a Friday game. Would they?
