Some things were not what they seemed in the football game against Kentucky, according to Shawn Watson, offensive coordinator, looking back at the University of Louisville’s third straight win in the rivalry.

  • What appeared to be an off day for Teddy Bridgewater was a case of receivers deviating from their routes, with lack of focus and out of place on the road. Bridgewater taking responsiblity, taking care of his receivers after the game.
  • The UK defensive line dominated early on, but not so much after the adrenaline subsided and UofL figured out Uk’s one-game special defensive look. Just long enough to keep the Wildcat fans excited for a short while but frustrated at the end.
  • UofL’s offensive line was impressive, overcoming some early embarrassment and adversity, learning some lessons, growing together and maturing, playing with purpose in the second half.
