Finally, a compromise for fall weddings that conflict with college football games. Get married during the tailgate party.

That’s exactly what Vonnie Evans and Jeff Miller will be doing prior to the Florida International football game this Saturday. They’ll be tying the knot before the game at their parking spot near Gate 4, surrounded by family, friends and fellow tailgaters.

The University of Louisville fans didn’t want anyone to miss the game because of their event.

“I told everybody to just dress like they would for the game – U of L T-shirt and pants would be fine,” she told Jonathan Lintner, in a story for USA Today. “And of course, we’ll have plenty of food for everybody. My sisters and brothers, they thought it was cool so they ran with it. My mother thought it was different and that we’re crazy.”

They plan to drive away on a decorated cooler scooter.
