  1. Yahoo is reporting that they will not change the name.

If they reconsider want to make a change, former interim Commissioner Joe Bailey hit on a good option when he said, “The unintended consequences of adding new schools is that all of a sudden the Big East is a national conference,” Bailey said according to Bloomberg.com. “It extends to four time zones in major markets. In one sense, it almost represents the United States in that diversity.”.

The National Conference, or even the United States Conference would be appropriate. Though, in today’s social media typing shorthand the NC, or the USC, could easily be confused with schools not, (yet) in the former BE.

  2. if you going to change the name of conference, it should be called bfc that stands for the big four conference that cover east, west, north, south or just keep it the big east

  3. I thought this guy was supposed to be good. He really needs to comission a study to find a new name?
