Rick Pitino will probably never be seen wearing glasses court side, and certainly not wire rims. The University of Louisville basketball coach prefers the heavy dark plexi style, saving them exclusively for press conferences and other situations where he wants to be analytical, nostalgic or philosophical. The Clark Kent look suits him well when he’s not performing Superman-like coaching feats, like getting this year’s team to the Final Four.

  1. Yikes. Maybe with those big ole lenses he can find a way to beat slimeball Saturday.

  2. Certainly this style of eyewear is IN — the black, rectangular shape.

It is also one of the ugliest trends in eyeglasses ever.

In the upcoming Superman film, “Man of Steel”, it’s reported that Clark Kent will not wear glasses.
