Nick DeLeon, one of the University of Louisville soccer team’s leading scorers, was among three U of L athletes arrested Tuesday for one count each of trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

DeLeon, a junior midfielder from Phoenix, was a major contributor last season, scoring eight goals in U of L’s memorable 20-1 season. Also arrested were Brock Granger, a sophomore defender, and Cameron Dehn, a freshman on the swim team.

Athletic Director Tom Jurich issued the following statement:  “The individuals involved have been placed on investigative suspension while we have an opportunity to review the details of what has transpired. We will have no further comment at this time.”

  1. Just read a thread on Big Soccer that says that all players will play next season with NO suspensions!! What is going on? Those were some pretty serious charges.
