[stextbox id=”custom”]The new downtown arena’s naming rights may have just become more expensive.

The new arrangement between  the Louisville Arena Authority and AEG is huge. The Los Angeles-based company is the world’s leading sports, entertainment and venue facilitator. They cater the really big entertainment names.

“The new downtown Louisville arena is destined to be one of the world’s premier venues.  Its waterfront location in the heart of a vibrant downtown business, retail, convention and entertainment district will truly distinguish it as a best-in-class facility,” said Bob Newman, AEG’s facilities chief operating officer.

Among the facilities the company owns, operates or provides services to are STAPLES Center (Los Angeles, Calif.), The Home Depot Center (Carson, Calif.), NOKIA Theatre L.A. Live (Los Angeles, Calif.), Sprint Center (Kansas City, Mo.), The Rose Garden (Portland, Ore.), Conseco Fieldhouse (Indianapolis, Ind.), American Airlines Arena (Miami, Fla.) and the Qatar National Convention Centre (Doha, Qatar).
