“They treat you like superstars there. It’s just a city of dreams, man.”
With those words, Tae Thibodeaux becomes an instant favorite of University of Louisville football fans.
Thibodeaux, a 6-foot-2, 245-pound defensive tackle from Louisiana, has found a second home, making his commitment to play his college football at Louisville, and will sign Wednesday.
Thibodeaux reportedly picked UofL over Arkansas, a program Coach Bobby Petrino knows a little about, having coached there for three seasons, knows the current Hogs aren’t going anywhere for a while. Petrino is talking about being a national contender at Louisville, needing people to fill holes on the defensive line, the possibility of playing early and often.
More than that, though, as he told Rivals.com, “”I really felt comfortable,” Thibodeaux said about the visit. “I didn’t think I was going to feel that way going into the visit, but it reminded me of home. The players reminded me a lot of my players. They all had a bond – they were all pretty tight with each other. The facilities were nice. It was just a lot man – big city. It just felt nice for me.”
And he’s relieved the recruiting process is over, tweeting:
Just wanna thank god for this hectic process, thanks for every one who supported me, I thank everyone who didn’t. Signing with Louisville tom.
