ShoniShoni Schimmel tosses a shot back over her shoulder against Colorado’s 6-foot-4 Rachel Hargis in a game that saw six lead changes before the University of Louisville women as they handed the Buffaloes their first defeat in 10 games and their first non-conference defeat in 33 game, UofL winning 69-62 at the KFC Yum! Center Saturday.

A layup by Colorado’s Brittany Wilson closed the gap to 65-62 with 24 seconds remaining. Schimmel made two free throws and a layup to close out Louisville’s fifth straight win and improve to 12-1. Shoni scored a season high 30 points, including 13 of 16 free throw attempts.
