Gotta believe this could be a special season for the University of Louisville women’s basketball team.

Yes, that kind of special.

Two seasons removed from a team that could hardly field a starting five because of injuries, Jeff Walz is blessed. He’s the one who made it possible, of course, and he will be richly rewarded.

Not getting into descriptions or names, because the observer would quickly run out of superlatives for individual players.

Abundant height, physical strength, gifted athletes, with speed and experience. Great attitudes. Fan friendly.

No doubt the best starting five U of L has had, along with the deepest bench.

One academic casualty in Charmaine Tay, reports Cardinal Couple.  Maybe a mild NCAA infraction coming, maybe not. Minor bumps in the road.

Ticket holders getting a tremendous bargain.

This U of L team has destiny written all over it.

  1. Besides that good stuff, what further awaits the fans is the family atmosphere at a home game. So many families, young children galore, clean wholesome afternoons. Go Cards!
