Louisville Papa John’s Stadium Update

While most folks were huddled inside, safe from the 15-degree windchill , the observer and construction workers were busy at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, checking on progress of the expansion project. Significant progress has been made on the upper deck, which appears to be about 80% complete (see video 1).

Note that the scoreboard has been removed from above the Crunch Zone because work is well under way on the walkway which will connect the North and South sides of the stadium (video 2). The project, which will expand seating from 42,000 seats to 56,000-plus seats, will be completed well in advance of the 2010 college football season.
