The quest has begun in earnest for the ultimate prize commemorating the national championship.

Many remembrances were ready the day after, some are arriving every day, others are still in the works. The challenge for University of Louisville basketball fan will be in not going overboard.Screen Shot 2013-04-12 at 7.11.34 PM

One of the most amazing products I’ve seen thus far is an info-graphic poster that includes statistical highlights from almost every significant moment for UofL in the NCAA Basketball Tournament, and the ups and downs during the regular season. Click on the photo to bring it to life.

The work, a 24 x 36-inch glossy ready for framing produced by Andrew Garcia Phillips, is available at ChartBall.com.

Every basket, rebound, block and opponent turnover is depicted on the chart, along with every lead change. The longer one studies the chart, the better the memories of the drama and the euphoria from each game in the tournament.

Andrew, the artist and statistician, spends his free time “taking my wildest data visualization ideas and combining them with deep data sets from the world of sports, a subject that I’ve been consumed with all my life.” His work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

See it to believe it.
