Dan McDonnell’s spoke of Louisville baseball playing for championships after his team dropped a 5-1 decision to St. John’s in the second game of the semifinals Saturday.

Probably asking too much of a team that lost 10 players in the Major League Baseball draft. McDonnell’s team would make a run, only to fall one game short of the Big East Conference tournament title game.

A disappointing spring for college baseball lovers in these parts.
