Jude Schimmel will be the keynote speaker at the National Unity Conference, which will attract more than 1,300 Native American youth leaders from across the nation in Portland, Ore. Saturday through Thursday.
Jude, of course, is a citizen of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Tribe. The senior-to-be played a key role for the University of Louisville women’s basketball team last season, averaging 5.6 points and 3.5 assists per game. That 33-5 record was the best in the school’s history.
Jude has always led by example on the court, rarely saying a word. Would be interesting to hear what she has to say.
