Jerry Smith back in the groove again after hitting four of seven three-point attempts against Rutgers? If so, he’s just in time for a grueling stretch run that includes UConn, Marquette, Georgetown, Notre Dame (and DePaul) and two games with No. 2-ranked Syracuse. But first comes St. John’s on the big stage Thursday at Madison Square Garden. A good showing there would leave no doubt that he’s back.

Thanks Charlie, I am with you nothing surprises me anymore either.
Lori, when it comes to coaches, nothing surprises me anymore. But I do believe one of the headiest moments in Rick Pitino’s life would be to be the first man to coach a Louisville team in the grandiose new basketball facility downtown in November.

Do you think Pitino is reaching out to the Nets???
just curious…(dysfunctional basketball story?)
I’m not sure who that man is wearing the Louisville “34” jersey that replaced the Jerry Smith I used to know…but i like him and hope he can continue to play like a good Big East point guard.
Who knows, this time next week the articles could be lamenting the disapperance of Jerry, Edgar and Swop..but for now…Pitino’s dysfunctional basketball family is getting along pretty well.
Keep it up Thursday.
