Impressions
– Obvious lack of depth will hurt the Cards against good teams. No help from the bench when Caracter and Farley get in foul trouble, as they will every game.
– Terrence Williams bottled up, mystery passing, displaying none of the confidence fans take for granted.
– Edgar Sosa out of control first four games.
– Caracter is a natural, uncanny shooting and rebounding skills.
– Earl Clark can make things happen, needs to be more of a focal point.
– Andre McGee, great on defense, no threat on offense against good teams.
– Jerry Smith, was he out there?
– Nobody works harder than Farley.

Hopefully, Terrance “the Terror” Farley can continue to improve.
While agree with your assessments overall, I do believe that we were working with two distinct handicaps: no time to practice without David P. and slight fatigue due to a game on Wednesday and being temporarily short-handed.
BYU has a bench 16 players deep, has played together, and didn’t play on Wednesday.
All-in-all, I was disappointed, but saw some good things.
Except for Sosa’s ego problem, we should be OK.

Charles, 2-1 for the trip is fine, especially since all 3 teams we played could be tournament bound in March. Yeah, it’s disapointing not to play UNC, but I think our guys learned a lot on this trip.
Besides, a 2 point loss to a good BYU team on a neutral court is about 100x better than losing by 16 to Gardner Webb at home.
