We’re betting that 99% of fans believe that either college or professional sports is more exciting than the other. Some will argue that March Madness is the most thrilling tournament in ANY sport.

The amount of bets placed on March Madness games rivals even some of the best paypal casinos offered at paypal-casinos.co.Picture1

Others will say that the NFL is the largest sport industry in the U.S. for a reason. We could go back and forth arguing for (and against) each side for days on end.

In the end we decided to pit two of the world’s biggest sports (baseball and basketball) with the arguments for and against each level of competition. Let the great debate begin!

BASEBALL

Most fans of collegiate baseball will argue that while major league baseball stadiums are much bigger and can hold a lot more fans than any college baseball field; something seems to be missing. The “school spirit” in college baseball games is something that just doesn’t quite translate to the major leagues. Add to that the fact that MLB players are caught doping and cheating seemingly every month, major league baseball just doesn’t seem as “honest” as college baseball.

Yet when arguing FOR major league baseball one has to admit the sheer excellence in performance from the professional game. Simply put almost no college level game can replicate the skill level you will see at a MLB game.
The number of home runs in pro games also far exceeds those of college games. This last point may seem minor, but since college level baseball only allows for the use of aluminium bats; the atmosphere just lacks the familiar “crack” of the wooden bat that fans are accustomed to.

BASKETBALL

College basketball is exhilarating due to a few reasons. First, the crowd that watches these games are young adults with boundless energy (often drunken energy) cheering for their team and jeering at the opponents. You truly cannot buy that kind of atmosphere. Secondly because this is college sports, players are not allowed to be “traded”.

While a player may choose to leave the school, or be cut from the team, you will never see a specific colleges best player traded to another school for multiple lower level players; which we are thankful for as it would’ve ripped the hearts out of many of those young adult fans we mentioned above.

Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. That’s all we have to argue for the pros. We could go on with Lebron James or Steph Curry but I think you got the point. Even if you are not a fan of the players mentioned, the NBA is chalk full of extremely skilled basketball players whose skills are unparalleled anywhere in the world. If you truly really want to see almost inhuman feats of athleticism pick any NBA game on TV and you will see something that will drop your jaw!
