Among the top defensive safeties to be picked during the 2014 National Football League draft is likely to be Calvin Pryor, a compact 6-foot-2, 208-pound junior from the University of Louisville.Calvin-Pryor

Hopefully by Chicago who will have the 14th pick in the first round.  The Bears need a tough guy to get back to their dominating defensive ways.

Nolan Nawrocki of NFL.com wrote that Pryor “carries a swagger and plays with confidence.”

During the NFL combines, Pryor met with 28 of the league’s 32 teams. He’s considered one of the most explosive hitters in the pool but he really doesn’t have any idea when he will be picked or by whom. He does know what he will bring to the team that drafts him:

“Great character and leadership qualities,” he says. “Playmaker. Difference maker on the field.  A physical presence. I bring toughness.”

Just ask the Central Florida receiver he knocked out cold on the second play of the game.  Pryor also made a one-handed interception in the same game.

Trust Pryor when he says,  “I’m a hard-nosed guy.”
