Don’t know if she’s corn fed, but Ariana Freeman will bring toughness.

The Washington Post puts a face and a voice on reeman, a member of the 2014 University of Louisville women’s basketball team recruiting class. The first impression is nothing short of first class.

IMG_92051-285x300The 5-foot-11 guard from Paul VI High School in Washington in Fairfax, Va, is as articulate as she is athletic, suggesting she will quickly become a floor leader at UofL. She averaged 19 points per game as a junior on a team that has won the Virginia independent schools state championship seven straight years.

ESPN: “Freeman’s mental maturity isn’t the only thing ahead of the curve in her game. Physically she has strength and athleticism on par with players in older classes. She uses her physical gifts on both sides of the court and isn’t afraid of contact.”

A great interviewee, with an even better shooting touch.
